Powerpop Comics Classics

 

This comics series features faithful graphic adaptations of classic stories, with art by some of today’s most exciting artists.

The first issue contains a striking, full-length adaptation of Edgar Allen Poe’s classic tale of terror, "The Black Cat" beautifully illustrated by S.M. Vidaurri, as well as a nine-page story about Poe's mysterious death, "The Facts in the Case of E.A. Poe, by Hobby Jones and Neal Obermeyer. A sample of issue #1 can be found here.

Future Powerpop Comics Classics adaptations include: Washington Irving’s "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow," Nathaniel Hawthorne’s "Young Goodman Brown," W.W. Jacob’s  "The Monkey’s Paw," Nikolai Gogol’s  "The Nose," a bi-lingual edition of the Mexican folktale "La Llorona," and many more!
